Instructions
Enable the API Permission
To enable the Quantum platform to conduct a Copilot Assessment, it is necessary to grant 2 additional API permissions.
Specifically, ‘Office 365 Management API> ActivityFeed.Read’ and ‘MS Graph API>InformationProtectionPolicy.Read.All’ must be activated for the Quantum application (service principal) within the native Azure tenant. This will allow access to the pertinent Copilot assessment data.
Important note:
If you have PIM security in place, please ensure that the admin performing the API addition has activated the required PIM session.
This can be achieved by following these three steps:
- Log into the Entra ID
- Locate the platform's Quantum 365 registered application (service principal)
*The application name may vary, so please check against the Application ID
3. Add the API permissions mentioned above – ensuring that admin consent is granted.

Below is a procedure that can be followed to confirm that the API permission/s have been granted in Azure.

Admin user should log into the Azure admin portal https://portal.azure.com.
- Select to Entra ID > Navigate to App Registrations menu
- Search under All Apps for the Quantum 365 onboarding application.
- Click into the registered Quantum 365 App > Navigate to API Permissions menu.

Confirm that all permissions have admin consent granted (particularly Office 365 Management API> ActivityFeed.Read’ and ‘MS Graph API>InformationProtectionPolicy.Read.All’)

Please note that whilst some of these permissions are optional, the Activity.Feed.Read and InformationProtectionPolicy.Read.All permissions are mandatory for Co-Pilot Assessment functionality in Quantum.
