How do I Identify Frontline/F-Licensed Users?
The Reclassification report (formerly the Frontline License Eligibility report) can be used alongside the Account Details (With/No SKU) reports. These tools help identify users who may be eligible for a frontline license, which can be downgraded or changed to better match their account usage and overall, reduce costs.
For example, this tool could help you to identify users:
- Only using Mobile & Web (or Teams only)
- With a Mailbox below 2GB
- No Directory Roles
- Aged account status
How do I get to this report in Quantum?
Microsoft 365> Optimise> Product Usage > Reclassification

Depending on the amount of data you must review, you may wish to export the bottom table to an Excel format and filter to your requirements (see separate How to Export guide for Details about how to do this).

Notes to consider when using this report:
- Device details are not included in this report.
- Limitations exist on OneDrive storage - data in the report is not filtered on this.
- No date filtering is considered, accounts should first be looked at from an account ageing perspective.
- On premise licensing models are not visible to Microsoft Online so may not pick up all office usage data.
