🔄Sync with Azure
Ongoing maintenance is required to ensure all Azure Subscriptions, Reservation, Savings Plans and MACC transactions are reflected in the Quantum platform. This is done via the Sync with Azure process and handled by an Azure administrator who meets specific requirements.
What is Sync with Azure?
The “Sync with Azure” process aligns reader access to subscriptions, reservations, savings plans, and MACC transactions with the Quantum Azure tool, ensuring accurate data in analytics, billing, and recommendations.
When should I Sync with Azure?
Syncing with Azure is done in certain circumstances, e.g.
- During initial onboarding (if done manually)
- New subscriptions purchased since initial onboarding
- Granting permissions to Reservations, Savings Plans or MACC
How do I Sync with Azure?
Pre-requisites
- Native to the Azure Tenant(s) being onboarded to Quantum
- Owner Role assigned to each subscription in scope within Azure AD (portal.azure.com).
- Write permissions to register and grant the Quantum application read access permission to the subscriptions in scope (permissions granted via IAM Controls to the registered app and not the Enterprise app)
-
Able to grant the Quantum application read access to Azure resources at the necessary levels, as per the below table:
