📌Adding Smart Tags (Rule based)
Quantum Smart Tags functionality will let the users see business and technical based reporting, clean up existing data and allow all the platform dashboards to be presented in ways that the business areas understand. This could be for Execs, business leaders, Finance, HR, IT, Auditors, CISOs etc.
Smart Tags can be created in the Configuration area and users can utilise the custom tag categories provided or create their own. Tags can also be imported (M365 module) or aligned to tags already existing in Azure.
Follow these steps to add and configure tags:
- Go to Smart Tags Menu
Configuration> Smart Tags> Smart Tags tab

- Create a Tag Category

- In the window that opens, enter a Name and Description (optional) for the category.

- Add Tag Values & Define Each Tag Value
- Click +
- Provide a Name and Description (optional) for the tag
- After entering details, click the Save icon on that specific row

- Configure Tagging
- Use the Configure Tagging (</>) option and click Save.

- In the window that opens, select your options; below is an example for the Azure module, tagging any resource names that contain “absolute”
- Click Save when you’re happy with your selections
You can stack criteria, as above, but you may wish to use the Custom Rules area for this (as shown below), as this will allow you to test what’s being tagged before you save.

- Save All Changes
- Once all tags are added, click Save at the bottom of the page.

-
Tag Rules Application
- The Smart Tag rules will be applied overnight.
- Tags will appear in reports after the rules have been applied, and next report daily refresh task is complete.
Important Notes:
Tagging Rules Timings
The tagging rules task can take 16–20 hours to fully import into resources, but timings will depend on the size of the tenant.

This is for the M365 module
M365 Tagging Option
Users can be tagged individually (instead of by rule, as detailed above).
